Rayla’ Meshawn is a performance/visual artist in Washington, DC. She is classically trained in ballet, jazz, modern and tap dance. She began dancing at the tender age of two years old performing West African dance under the instruction of Wendy White-Spraggins, her mother. She has competed and performed nationally as a soloist and ensemble member for various dance groups and organizations such as Little Red Dancing School, Rochester School of the Arts, and IAMWE Contemporary Dance Company. Rayla’ is an award winning dancer whom received awards and honors to study dance at Jacob’s Pillow, Garth Fagan, and Bates Dance Festival. She continues to perfect her art with additional training while performing and instructs emerging dancers in the Washington DC area.
Rayla’ Meshawn is also a very creative and social conscious Photographer.
